Sergeant Harland Abbott was Wounded in Action during World War I.
He is the only son of Eugene W Abbott (1867-1914), Addie M Cooper (1866-1908) and Agnes Mary Abbott (1869 – 1944) his stepmother. His only sister Laura died in 1906.
He served in the military and was wounded in action[1]. No details can be found at this writing.
After the war he married Bernice Eleanor Moore (1904 - 1976) on September 22, 1922 in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania. They moved to New York where he worked as a carpenter in a construction company, eventually becoming a foreman. All their children, 2 sons Eugene and Richard, and 2 daughters Dorothy and Barbara were born in New York.
They moved to Midland, Texas and then on to Odessa, Texas about 1959. He died July 16, 1963 [2] in Odessa and is buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Odessa, Ector County, Texas, USA[3]
