Ira Elmer Abbott was born on 9 Aug 1891 in Forbes Point, Queens County, Nova Scotia, son of Robert James Abbott (1855–1918) and Ida Jane Adams (1858–1946).
Ira died on 10 Sep 1983 in Florida, United States, aged 92. He is commemorated at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida.[1]
