Thomas Abbott conditionally bequeathed his land to his three brothers: George Abbott, Nehemiah Abbott and Thomas Abbott. An agreement with their sister -in-law, Dorothy the late wife to their brother Thomas deceased, was made in which they made over all their right and interest in the house and land where Dorothy now dwells in Rowley with three acres of salt marsh and three acres of meadow. The document was dated 25 November 1659, and was signed by George, Nehemiah and Thomas Abbott. It was acknowledged the same day by George and Nehemiah; and later by Thomas on 13 June 1683.[10]
1673 -- Dorothy Swan Abbott "was about 37 years old," according to the Essex County Files, which means she was born circa 1636. [11]
