Biography

Magdaleentje was born about 1657 in Albany, Province of New York. She was the daughter of Christopher Janse Abeel and Neeltie Janse Croon.[1] She died about 1730 in New York, Province of New York. She was aged 17 years in 1678 when her father wrote his will.

If she was 17 in 1678, then I think she was born about 1660 or 1661, not 1657. (Or am I missing something?)

She is listed in her father's will as being 17 as of 4-Dec-1678, which would put her birth to be about 1661. Otherwise, she would have been born out of wedlock as her parents married in 1660.

Abeel-2 and Abeel-1 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest maternal ancestor in this chain in need of a merge into the NNS PPP. No tree conflicts. Nickname Magdaleentje or Magdalena. Thanks!
