Biography

The son of David Abell and Alice (Roberts) Abell, John was born in New Lebanon, Connecticut in 1756. He married Mary Polly Luce (1765-1825) in Litchfield, Connecticut on May 10, 1781.[1] Their children included:

  1. Asenath Abell, 1800-
  2. Daniel Ethridge Abell,1815-1903
  3. Lury Abell, 1785-1859
  4. Almon Alfred Abell 1791-1850
  5. Harcy Abell, 1796-1870
  6. Lucy Abell, 1796-
  7. Elmira Abell, 1797-
  8. Sluman Abel, 1797-1854
  9. John Abel, 1807-1883
  10. Datus E Abell, 1811-1885

He passed away in 1836[2] and is buried at Perry Township Cemetery.[3]
