Biography
The son of David Abell and Alice (Roberts) Abell, John was born in New Lebanon, Connecticut in 1756. He married Mary Polly Luce (1765-1825) in Litchfield, Connecticut on May 10, 1781.[1] Their children included:

- Almon Alfred Abell 1791-1850
- Harcy Abell, 1796-1870
- Lucy Abell, 1796-

- Datus E Abell, 1811-1885
He passed away in 1836[2] and is buried at Perry Township Cemetery.[3]
