Richard Abell was born 7 July 1609, a son of George Abell (1561 - 1630) and Frances Cotton Abell (1565 - 1632). He was an apprentice at the Merchant Tailors School, London.[1] Richard Abell went on to be a merchant tailor in St Mary's County, Maryland.[2]
