Biography

Johann Adam Aker was listed at age 28 when he emigrated to Nova Scotia in the Gale in 1752^{[1] [2]}. His parents are not noted in these sources.

In 1753, the family was among the founders of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia^[3]

His wife was Anna Maria Catherine Hahn^{[4] [5] [2] [6]}, and their children included:

1. Catherine Magdalene^[2], born before 1755 ^[5], who married Henry Schaufelberg in 1778^[6]
2. Valentine^[2], who was baptized November 27, 1756^[6]
3. Anna Dorothea^[2], who was baptized July 6, 1760^[6]
