Biography

Johann Adam Aker was listed at age 28 when he emigrated to Nova Scotia in the Gale in 1752[1] [2]. His parents are not noted in these sources.

In 1753, the family was among the founders of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia[3]

His wife was Anna Maria Catherine Hahn[4] [5] [2] [6], and their children included:

  1. Catherine Magdalene[2], born before 1755 [5], who married Henry Schaufelberg in 1778[6]
  2. Valentine[2], who was baptized November 27, 1756[6]
  3. Anna Dorothea[2], who was baptized July 6, 1760[6]
  4. Jacob Michael[2], who was baptized March 12, 1763[6]
  5. John Adam[2] , who was baptized July 17, 1765[6]
  6. George Conrad[2], who was born Aug 19, 1769[6]
  7. Sophia[2] No further information found.

Adam Acker died November 26, 1791 at age 68[6]

His wife, Ann Mary Catherine (Hahn) Acker died March 29, 1810 at age 86[6]
