Biography

When Martha Elizabeth Acker was born in March 1849 in Alabama, her father, Christopher, was 27, and her mother, Martha, was 24. ^[1]

She married John McPherson Berrien McKnight on January 3, 1867, in Cherokee, Texas. ^[2][3]

She died on March 18, 1923, in Cherokee, Texas, at the age of 74, and was buried there.^[4]

Half sister to Ruthie Jane Acker, wife of John's brother, Richard Henry Lee McKnight.
