Biography

Sybout Acker/Ecker was born to Wolfert and Maretje (Crankheit) Sibouts Acker/Ecker on 8 March 1698 in Yonkers (now Sleepy Hollow). He was their second son. He died there 26 July 1771, "aged 72 years , 4, months and 19 days."[1].

SYBOUT ECKER, born in Philipsburgh 8 March 1698 and baptized there 2 August 1698; died 25 July (administration) or 26 July (tombstone) 1771; married in Hackensack 7 October 1720 AELTJE DE RONDE, born on the “manor of Kortlandt” and died probably after 9 November 1740 (child baptized), daughter of William Hendricks de Ronde and Magdalena Mattys Brower.

He married Altie de Ronde in Hackensack in 1720[3]

He passed away in 1771.
