Abigail Ackerman was born on January 19, 1687, in New York to Abraham D Ackerman and Aeltie Van Laer. She was baptized on 19 Jan, 1687 in the Dutch Reformed Church, New York City, New York Colony. She married (1) Andries Hendrikse Hopper in Hackensack, New Jersey, on July 1, 1707, and they had nine children together. She then married (2) Dirck Hendrick Brinkerhoff on October 13, 1733, in Hackensack, New Jersey. She died on September 19, 1736, in Bergen, New Jersey, at the age of 49.
