Biography
Mary Adams the daughter of John Adams and Jane James was born in May 1656 and baptized in Scituate, Plymouth Colony, on 14 December 1656.[1], "Mary ye daughter of John Adams of Marshfield & great grandchild of Widdow James."[2] She passed away in 1657.
Notes: Mary's birth record is in the Quaker records of New York: Mary Adams, birth, dt of John and Jane Adams, Fflushing, 3 5mo 1656 (3 July 1656).[3] There is no corresponding death record. The death of 1657 must be an error since she is listed in her father's Will written 1699-1700. The footnote in the death source (Myers) gives Marshfield VRs "the latter noting the burial of a daughter of John Adams on that date". Name Mary not given.
