child - PINNACLE - Mrs. Lois Opal Needham Boyles, 82, of Blackburn Road passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Surry County to Claude E. and Stella Rosella Adams Needham. Mrs. Boyles was retired from Amos and Smith Hosiery Mill after 30 years of service. She was a member of Christian Community Church and was loved by all her family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. She was a caring, giving person who loved to take her grandchildren fishing. Mrs. Boyles had a beautiful garden full of flowers. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon McHone of Pinnacle and Cathie Vestal of King; a son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Donna Boyles of Hamptonville; eight grandchildren, Neal Terrell, Brandon Terrell, Sarandon Terrell, Amanda Vestal, Felicia Vestal, Darrin Boyles, Jarrin Boyles and Kellie Boyles; four great-grandchildren, Danielle, Brooklyn and Hannah Terrell and Jack Crews; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Ernest McClung of Eagle Rock, Va., Beatrice and Bob York of White Plains, Annie Lee and Carl Atkins of Dobson and Barbara and J.R. Jessup of Westfield;three brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Louise Needham of Pinnacle, Roger and Deloris Needham of Pilot Mountain and Eddie and Brenda Needham of Pilot Mountain; and a sister-in-law, Pat Needham of Pilot Mountain In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyles was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Wilson Boyles, and a brother, James Needham. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Christian Community Church conducted by the Rev. Kevin Harris and the Rev. Milton Sewell. Interment will follow at Brim's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening, Sept. 29, 2002, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at the home of Mrs. Boyles sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and J.R. Jessup, 494 Cook Road, Pilot Mountain, N.C. Memorials may be made to Christian Community Church, P.O. Box 159, 1180 McDaniel Road, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041. The Boyles family is being served by Cox-Needham Funeral Home, Pilot Mountain, N.C.[1]
