Frances "Frankye" Adams was born in 1794 in Sumner county, Tennessee (see notes) a daughter of Jacob Adams, Jr.
Frances married Lewis Hancock 21 Jan 1811 in Tennessee. Lewis had migrated west with Lewis' brother Richard in 1809 settling in Wilson County, Tenn.
Her husband, Lewis, was apparently both a drunkard and a philanderer, flaunting his widow woman mistress living on the hill above his home. After her children were grown and moved to Texas, Frances left her husband and moved to Texas where she lived with her daughter, Matilda.
Lewis Hancock died in Cannon county, Tennessee.
Frances died April 23, 1865, at the age of 71 years 3 months and 15 days, and is buried in the Hancock cemetery, in Mexia, Limestone county, Texas. [1]
Davidson County is the oldest county in the 41-county region of Middle Tennessee. It dates to 1783, shortly after the end of the American Revolution. Sumner County Tennessee was established 18 November 1786 from Davidson county. Wilson County was created October 26, 1799 from a portion of Sumner County, and named for Major David Wilson, a Revolutionary War veteran and statesman

This profile needs the GEDCOM clutter removed after the import. The FindA Grave information under Acknowledgments needs to be entered into the biography with a source citation and a FindAGrave template. I also suggest that a written bio would be nice if added to the profile and the wording "This biography was auto-generated by a GEDCOM import. It's a rough draft and needs to be edited." removed.
