Daniel was born 12 August 1723 in Framingham, Massachusetts, son of John Adams and Elisabeth Goddard Adams, twin brother of Joseph[1]
Daniel Adams married Elizabeth Balch, 22 September 1748 in Framingham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [2]
In 1763, Daniel sold the Framingham estate inherited from his father and removed west to Rutland. He took his letter dismissing him from the Framingham church to the Rutland church in January 1765.[3]
Daniel Adams died in Barre in 1809, in his 85th year[4]. Note: a previous secondary source, not cited, had him dying in 1814
Elizabeth and Daniel Adams had ten children--seven recorded born in Framingham, the last three recorded born in Barre.[5][6][3]

Peter, b. 20 September 1753, married Hannah Brittan, said to have settled in Oakham, but no record there yet found.
Daniel, b. 11 February 1755, married Mary Whiting on 25 June 1778,
Luther, b. 5 June 1757, married Sarah McPherson on 31 May 1781
Nathan b. 17 April 1760, married 1. Mary ___, then 2. Abigail White, about 11 November 1809
Elizabeth, b. 26 May 1763, married John Bacon on 18 November 1784
John, b. 10 October 1765 in Barre, married Anna Kelley on 27 January 1789
Mary, b. 29 October 1768 in Barre
Timothy, b. 9 May 1771 in Barre, married Deidamia Hemenway, on 12 September 1793
