Note NI151 - Mining Engineer and developer in Colorado, Utah, and California. First discovered the radium deposits near Moab, UT in 1900-01. Developed first commercial process to extract the radium from its uranium deposits in a small laboratory in Telluride, Colorado.

President of the American Radium Corporation with claims in Paradox Valley. The Dodge brothers were listed as VP and Secretary. He was also at one time, Secretary of the Vanadium Ore Mining Company of Cisco, Utah.

Correspondence with Sir William Cookes of England, confirmed the radium processing claims.

Knight Commander in Telluride, Colorado. In 1910, he was living on Colorado Avenue in Telluride. His occupation on the 1910 census states he was a Tin Smith. It also gives his age as 40, which would have placed his birth in 1870, not 1867

Lived in California from 1915 to 1945 and Los Angeles 1945. He is shown as living in San Diego in the 1920 census. His last address given on the Death Certificate was 5614 West 4th Street, Los Angeles.

Per his son William, he was cremated and the ashes were tossed at sea about 5 miles off of Pt. Loma, San Diego.
