I've been working on this line and it appears someone incorrectly merged a William C. Adams with William Elwin Adams on FamilySearch which created two wives and several sets of children. The sources showed two versions of each census etc.

Thr the main reason I'm adding this is the dates and locations with your profile here match the husband of Sarah Catherine married 1866 in SC; not William C. who married Francis "Fannie" in Gaston, NC. The parents are different for each as well. William E was son of John and Eliza Adams daughter Margaret attached was his daughter, but with Sarah Catherine / Kate (see death record here: ("North Carolina Deaths and Burials, 1898-1994", , FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:HHWZ-41MM : 21 January 2020), Katie Holland in entry for Margaret J. Jackson, 1931.) Thanks for any help/ insight you can provide. I've contacted Findagrave who also used only FamilySearch for the addition of second wife so I'm sending the sources so they can separate Fannie as well and get her with her correct spouse
