John Adams appears to be the John Adams of Stoke Gabriel, Devonshire, who left a will in 1557.[1]
His only known child was Nicholas Adams, Esq. M.P., of Wotan (Stoke Gabriel) and Tunstall (Dartmouth), who named his eldest son John.[2]
