Although still a young man he has by hard work and saving gained quite a fortune. In 1898, he married Miss Bertha Mattson. Three children blessed their home of which the oldest is six years of age. Since his marrage his home has been at Stacyville with the exception of a year when he worked a farm for Mr. Hanson.
