William died on 12 September 1907 in Monroe County, probably in the Upper Keys, and he is buried in the Key West City Cemetery.[3]

Sources

  1. William's full date of birth appears in his Find A Grave memorial; however, no source for the information is given. The month and year are confirmed in the 1900 census. The census taker appeared to write Florida for the place and then overwrote it with Bahamas, which was likely incorrect. The memorial includes his full date of death and states that William died in Key; however, it does not provide a source for this information. It probably comes from records of the City Cemetery.
