1717: Martha Adams Pierce died at age 59 on December 29, 1717, just 11 days after the death of her daughter, Persis. She died in Scituate, Massachusetts and was buried in Groveland Cemetary in North Scituate. She was the mother of 10 children. (Carole Gardner, Michael Pierce Geneology, p. 23).[3]
