Sarah Adams was born on October 2, 1680,[1]in Fairfield, Connecticut, to parents, Mary Meeker and Samuel Adams.[2]She was the first born, out of Mary and Samuel's eight children, followed by Abigail, Elizabeth, Abraham, Jonathan, David, Benjamin, and John.[3]Her father had 2 sons, before Sarah was born, Samuel, Jr and Daniel, but their mother is unknown.[4]When Sarah's father died in 1694, her mother married Moses Lyon, who died 4 years later. Sarah's mother then married, in 1698, John Thorpe, giving Sarah two more step-brothers, Peter and Daniel Thorpe. Sarah, herself, married Isaac Castle, Sr, 1701, in Connecticut[5] with their union producing three children: Isaac, Jr, Samuel and Sarah.[6][7]Sarah died at the early age of 28, in 1708, shortly after the birth of her daughter, Sarah.[8][9]
