On 11 Apr 1760 Samuel Adams of Simsbury, Hartford County, Colony of Connecticut signed his will. He named his wife Elizabeth, his only surviving son Samuel Adams, his daughter Elizabeth, the wife of Thomas Barber, and appointed son Samuel and daughter Elizabeth as executors.[2]
He died in Apr 1772 in Simsbury, Connecticut.
His children Samuel and Elizabeth accepted the trust as executors of his will on 28 Apr 1772. The inventory of his estate was recorded 10 July 1772, and a portion distributed to the children for keeping (? taking care of ?) their father from 1 Oct 1764 to 1 Apr 1772.[2]
