Harry was born in 1917. He was the son of Joe Adamson and Ada Stowell. Harry was Baptized on January 22, 1923 along with sister Clara, and brother Joseph at Saint Mark Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was presented by his parents, Joseph and Ada, and his sponsors were Frank and Clara Stowell (aunt and uncle). Harry lived with his parents and siblings in Philadelphia. In 1920, the family lived in Ward 23 at 4352 Tackawanna Street. By 1940 the family had moved to 1929 E. Ontario Street, still in Philadelphia. Harry enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1941 and served both stateside and overseas during WWII. He attained the rank of SSgt before he was discharged on September 29, 1945 from the U.S. AFB in Delaware. Harry married Concetta (Jenny) Chicco in Philadelphia in 1942, and they greeted a daughter in 1943. Harry and Jenny lived the remainder of their lives in northeast Philadelphia. Harry died in February of 1997 and is buried as a veteran at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, Bucks County Pennsylvania.
