Owen Williams, and Rebecca Adamson, were 2nd cousins.

1850 Census, Jackson Twp, Hamilton, IN, gives her age as 39, born in Tennessee. She does seem to be living with Owen L. Williams, age 40. If her birthdate is correct, she was 37 at the time of the Census. Children: Isaac 9, Louis 6, Henry 5, Sarah E. 2, Jabez, 4 months.

1860 Census. Mound Twp, Lykins, Kansas Terr. P.O. Opawattomie, Hh 495 Owen L. Williams, 49 Rebecca, 47 Issac, 17. Lewis H. 16, Henry 15, Sarah A. 12, Jabez W. 10, Aaron W. 7, Owen L. 5.

Owen's FindAGrave memorial states she married Richard Lagle after his death - but why would she be in Iowa..... 1870 Census. Fairfield, Jefferson Co Iowa has the following: Richard Lagle, 64, b. NC Rebecca, 56, b. IN This bothers me somewhat - where are her Williams children - Owen would have been only 15. Isaac and Jabez had both died during the Civil War.

1880 Census. Fairfield, Jefferson Co Iowa, Hh 65 Richard Lagle, 66, Farmer, b. NC, parents b. NC Rebekah, 61, wife, b. TN, parents b. NC

But the following ties Rebecca back to Williams: Iowa State Census, 1885. Village Twp, Van Buren, Iowa, Hh 67 Rebecca C. Lagel, town of Selma, age 71, Widow, b. TN Aron Williams, age 31, widowed, Working on R.R., b. IN, subject to military duty and entitled to vote.

The Pike Family History omitted Rebecca.

Find A Grave Memorial# 38612704 Name on stone is Rebecca Williams, 1813-1890 Buried Prairie Home Cemetery, Holdrege, Phelps Co, Nebraska.

Adamson-1751 and Adamson-238 appear to represent the same person because: This turned up when I was searching for Rebecca Atkinson. The slight discrepancy in death sometimes turns up when one is for burial, one for death. Anyhow, it doesn't seem to be a disqualifier, because the match is so close otherwise.
