Biography

A William Adkins married an unnamed bride at Sandy, Bedfordshire, England in 1539.^[1] They might be suspected of being Henry's parents.

But no specific record of Henry's birth or parentage has been found, unless this is it:

Henry Atkins married Frances Edwards at Sandy on 25 Oct 1583.^[2]

3. John, bp. 22 Dec 1589

Henry Atkyns buried his wife Frances at Sandy on Christmas Day 1610.^[3]

Did Henry remarry after the death of Frances in 1610? An Elizabeth Adkins, wife of Henry, was buried at Sandy on 4 Nov 1629.^[4]

A Henry Adkins was buried at Sandy on 18 Dec 1630. As his son (Henry son of Henry) was buried in Sandy on 14 Jan 1624/5 this one must be the father.^[5]
