Calvry Adkins was the son of Thomas Tuncil Adkins and Christina Bragg. He was married more than once. Calvry Adkins and Nancy Harless Adkins divorced on May 10, 1867 Calvry Adkins was served at Private, Co. G, 8 Regiment Virginia Cavalry, Confederate side of the Civil War. From November 1, 1863 to October 31, 1864 was absent because he was wounded in Pulaski Co., Virginia in May 1864. Was currently in the hospital in Tazewell Co., Virginia
