MR. LUTHER ADKINS, 66, of East Lynn, WV., Route 1. died Thursday, Jan. 17, 1985. in St. Mary's Hospital. Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Sunday at Bethlehem United Baptist Church. Raccoon Creek. by Ministers Delmer Adkins and Zach Bills. Burial will be in the family cemetery near his home. he was born Feb. 6, 1918. a son of the late Walter and Ella Dillon Adkins. He retired from H.K. Porter Co. in 1973. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in World War II, Surviving are his loving wife, Adell Davis Gilkerson Adkins: one son, Jesse Dale Adkins, at home; one step daughter and son in law, Melva and Rard Adkins; two stepsons and daughters in law. John and Sandra Gilkerson and Gregory and Roberta Gilkerson, one grand daughter, Jennifer Gilkerson; six grandsons, Danny, Dennis and David Adkins. Jimmy and Jeremy Gilkerson and Gregory Gilkerson jr., all of East Lynn, WV. Two Sisters; Goldie White and Revella Adkins of Branchland, WV. one brother, Leonard Adkins of Barboursville, WV. and several nieces and nephews. Friends my call from 4-9 pm Saturday at Wallace Funeral Home. Barboursville. The Body will be taken to the church one hour before services.
