According to Ronnie Adkins book "The Adkins Family of Wayne County, West Virginia also Cabell, Lincoln and Boone", on page 89 provides the following:
Ballard T. Adkins, son of Randolph Adkins and Elsie Lucas; born about 1845 Cabell County, married 11 March 1868 Catlettsburg, Kentucky to Easter Nunnelly who was born about 1850 in Greenup County, Kentucky.
Their Children are:
MIllard, married Vera McComas (Line under her- meaning she has Adkins ancestry as well)
Oliver married (?) Sarah Adkins
Claude
Gordon
Emma
He then goes on to say:
Ballard and Adeline had several other children that I have not been able to identify. Many people that I knew are descended from these unidentified children including Herman Gilkerson who married Dorothy Harless and his line is carried under her.
Although I'm not sure why he switched to calling Easter by the name of Adeline as she isn't mentioned elsewhere. When I follow the genealogy backward it shows that his father, Randolph, had three wives. The first was Polly Johnson (married 19 Sep 1832), second to Elsie Lucas (married about 1843) and third to Elizabeth Adkins (married about 1865).
I recommend changing his mother to Elise, Randolph's second wife, unless you have another source that shows otherwise? Thanks!
Note: edited because I made the mistake of showing the second wife as the mother he already has but it should be Elise.
