The funeral for Craig B. Aiken, 77, 28 Waverly St., Potsdam, was held at 10 a.m. Monday (Nov. 30, 1987) at Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam with the Rev. W. Russell Clark, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam.

Mr. Aiken died Friday (Nov. 27, 1987) at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice; two sons, Sam Aiken of Albuquerque, N. M. and Bar Aiken of South Colton; two daughters, Miss Sylvia Aiken of Potsdam and Mrs. Kenneth (Beth) Grace of Potsdam; a brother, Dwight Aiken of Arlington, Texas; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Dickinson Center on Dec. 15, 1909, son of Newland and Adeline Saxton Aiken. In 1931, he graduated from Canton ATI, which later became Canton College of Technology. On May 20, 1934, he married Bernice Barlow in Lake Placid.

He was employed in the refrigeration and air conditioning department at the Potsdam College, retiring in 1973.

Mr. Aiken was a communicant of the United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Racket River Lodge No. 213 F&AM of Potsdam and the Conservatory of Norwood.

Memorial donations may be made to the Potsdam Rescue Squad.
