Clarion Ledger, March 28, 2008

Adam Thomas Ainsworth, age 24, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Magee General Hospital, Magee, MS. Visitation will be at Goodwater Baptist Church, Magee, MS, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. On Friday, March 28, 2008, and one hour prior to services to be held at the church on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Goodwater Baptist Church cemetery. [1]

Mr. Ainsworth attended Magee Public Schools through the eighth grade, and graduated with honors from West Lauderdale High School in 2002. He attended Mississippi College in Clinton, MS, receiving a bachelor's degree in Biology research in 2006. He continued his studies in graduate school at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, LA, and then at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, MS until his illness interrupted his studies.

Adam was an Eagle Scout and a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, MS. While at Mississippi College, he was a member of the Shawreth Service Club and participated in the London Study Semester program.

Survivors include: his parents, Randy and Janice Ainsworth of Magee, MS; his sister, Rachel Ainsworth, of Birmingham, AL; his grandparents, Wiley and Rose Ainsworth of Magee, MS and Ruth Ann Tanner of Hattiesburg, MS; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas O. Tanner, Jr. of Hazlehurst, MS.

The family wishes to thank the physicians and staff of the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS for their care throughout Adam's illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Adam be remembered through memorial gifts to the mission efforts of the giver's local church in support of his lifetime passion to spread the Gospel.

Saulters-Moore Funeral Service in Prentiss is in charge of arrangements. [2] [3]
