Biography

Albert Lee AKERS was born about 25 April 1882 in Johnson County, Kentucky[1], [2] and died in a logging accident on 13 January 1930 in Porter Voting District, Floyd County, Kentucky.[3] He was the son of John C. AKERS and Lousine DAVIS. He is buried in Akers Cemetery, Kenova, Wayne County, West Virginia.[4]

BIRTH CONFLICT:

His death record states his birth occurred on 15 January 1880 in Johnson County, Kentucky [3]
Albert does not appear on the 1880 Census record taken 23 June 1880 with his father, John, who was living in the household of Robert AKERS (Albert Akers' Grandfather).
World War I Draft Card stated he was born 25 April 1882.
Son William Marvin AKERS stated his father was born 25 April 1882 in article that his wife submitted to the Floyd County Historical Society's Bicentenial Commity for the 1992 publication of "Floyd County, Kentucky History" book.

Elon Octavia BURCHETT was born about 14 April 1881 in Big Branch, Dewey, Floyd County, Kentucky[6] and died on 12 June 1967 in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Jesse P. BURCHETT and Louisa BEVINS / BLEVINS. She is buried in Richmond Memorial Cemetery, Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky.[7]
