Research Notes

A Rhodes Akers got a land grant for Missouri in 1853, unsure if that's this rhodes or not.

The Rhodes Akers who bought land in pike, Kentucky in 1878 was the son of Lucinda and James Akers born about 1855. He married Georgia Ann Swinny on March 6th 1878 and got his land grant in Pike county on March 13th.

It's unclear whether the Rhodes Akers who was living with Thomas and Keziah in 1850 is the same one who married Barbara Adams. I hypothesize not since the birth year and birth location are different for the Rhodes Akers on the 1860 census.
