Biography

The death record of James A. AKERS stated that James was born on 17 March 1844 in Virginia[1] and died of an abscess of the Stomach on 5 April 1924 in Wayne County, West Virginia.[1] His parents were recorded on his death record as John AKERS and Elizabeth FRASHER.[1] According to his death record he was to be buried on 6 April 1924 in Frasher Cemetery, Wayne County, West Virginia.[1],

A Tombstone for a James AKERS was listed as being toppled over and face down in the dirt in Frasher Cemetery, Wayne County, West Virginia by S. F. Evans on 21 April 2013. The cemetery is about 1 - 2 miles from Fort Gay and up on a hill. It was noted that many stones have been vandalized in this cemetery and pushed off their bases onto the ground. A picture of James AKERS' tombstone was taken by S. F. EVANS and posted to James AKERS' online burial memorial at Find A Grave: Memorial #108623880.[2] The Tombstone reads:

Apr. 5, 1924"

The name of Druzilla Jane CRABTREE's parents were given on her marriage record as James and Elizabeth CRABTREE.[6]
