Marie Claire Albert lived
in Canada, Nouvelle-France.

Marie Claire Albert was born on 18 Apr 1709 and baptized on 14 Jun in Notre-Dame-de-Liesse parish of Rivière-Ouelle, Canada, Nouvelle France to Pierre Albert and Louise Thérèse Grondin. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Guillaume Paradis and Marie Claire Françoise Levasseur, wife of Louis Michau. The officiating priest was J. Bernard de Requeleyne.[1][2]

Marriage
She married Alexis Nadeau, son of Denis Nadaux and the late Charlotte Lacassé, on 2 Feb 1729 in Saint-Louis parish of Kamouraska. Both were single and of marrying age at the time of their nuptials. Both of Marie Claire Alberts' parents were living. Alexis Nadeau's father, Denis Nadaux, (written as in record) was alive and a widower at the time of the couple's marriage. Alexis's mother, Marie Charlotte "Lacasse", (per archive document) was deceased. Other witnesses to the marriage included: Pierre Levasseur, Jean Martin, Bastien Grondin, and Zacharie Aiot. The celebrant priest was "Auclair".[3][4]

The couple had at least 11 children, which included 2 sets of twins. As a note of interest, their first child was born on their first wedding anniversary.

Death and Burial
Marie Claire Albert, widow of Alexis Nadeau, was buried on 2 Dec 1774 in Saint-Louis parish cemetery of Kamouraska, Province de Québec, being given the age of around 60 years on the record. Her exact date of death is not mentioned in the burial record.[5][6] She passed 8 years after her husband.

Do you have a problem with me adding back the Drouin sources?

Judith, No, go right ahead. Thanks.

Hi Karen, please do not delete Drouin sources, even with the FS sources, there are actually sometimes differences in the documents that Drouin has and the ones FS has. Thanks.

Now that you have done that, anyone with access to Drouin are NOT able to see them. I'll be happy to add them back.

Women did not change their family name at marriage in Nouvelle-France and Québec, except from 1805 to 1981 ("Code Napoléon").
