Paul Louis Albrecht, 82, of Elkhart, Ind., formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., died Thursday in Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Indiana, after a lengthy illness. His wife, the former Rosemary Flynn, died Dec. 15, 2000, in Port Richey, Fla. They were married on Aug. 29, 1940, in Scranton.

Born Feb. 8, 1920, in Scranton, he was the son of the late William A. and Hedwig Schmidt Albrecht. He was formerly employed as a mobile homes salesman by Derose Mobile Homes, Cassopolis, Mich., and Shasta Industries, Middlebury, Ind. He was also employed as a car salesman by Pete Fall Ford, Elkhart. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Father Ullrich Council 5869 of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member and past governor of Elkhart Moose Lodge 599 and a past president of the Palm Terrace Civic Association, Port Richey.

Surviving are five sons, John "Jack" and Mark Albrecht, both of Elkhart; Robert and Martin Albrecht, both of Dallas, Texas; and Paul R. Albrecht, Goshen, Ind.; three daughters, Rosemary Krull, Joan Hamilton and Kathleen "Kay" Albrecht, all of Elkhart; a brother, Thomas, Scranton; three sisters, Lillian Woodbridge and Theresa Shuata, both of Scranton; and Irene Gerordina, Alexandria, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Elkhart, with services by the Rev. William Sullivan. Interment will be at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.

Friends may call Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A vigil service will be held at 5:15 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 300 N. Michigan, Suite 450, South Bend, Ind., 46601.
