Edward Alcock, son of Edward and Matilda Alcock of Caistor, Lincolnshire, was baptised in the Market Rasen Methodist Circuit, Lincolnshire on 8th March 1852 [1].
In 1861 Edward was living with his parents Edward (46 a master chair turner), Matilda (42), and his siblings Charles (16, Henry (14), William (13), Thomas (11), Louisa (5), Emma (3) and Elizabeth (1) [2].
In 1871 Edward was an apprentice baker, aged 20, living in the household of William Farbon (a baker) in Queen Street, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire [3].

No marriage found on FreeBMD - possibly married in Scotland (searched 27 Sep 2021). It is possible that Edward and Jane were not married - there is a baptism of Edward, son of Edward Alcock and Jane BLACKHALL (Blackhall in space for Surname of Child) at Christ Church, in EvertonLiverpool on 28th June 1876 [5].
