The Birth Date is a rough estimate. See the text for details.
Biography
She was born about 1646, probably in Plymouth Colony. She married John Spooner by 1668, when her child John was born.[1] She died before 1680, the birthdate of William Spooner, her husband's child by his 2d wife.
Research Notes
Birth date is estimated by assuming that she had only one child, John Spooner, who was born in 1668.
At one time, this wife of John Spooner was identified as Lydia Alden (Alden-89), but there was no evidence to support this. (These comments deal with that Lydia Alden: Not a child of John Alden and his wife Priscilla Mullins Alden. The parents are being removed from this profile. She may be a grandchild of the Aldens.) Alden-89 was merged into this profile, Unknown-445743. Mauger-110 19:42, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
After the merge, there was a marriage date remaining (12 Nov 1668, Duxbury), which I have deleted today. I searched americanancestors.org for marriages in 1668 in Duxbury, but I found nothing that referred to John Spooner, the husband. Torrey's New England Marriages Prior to 1700 says that John Spooner was married to an unnamed woman by 1668, and then lived in Dartmouth.[1]Mauger-110 19:42, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Unknown by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Unknown:
I found that a Lydia (unknown) Spooner listed as John's wife and mother of John, the son. As well Family search lists a Lydia Gifford as this person. Neither provides source data but perhaps provide a direction for further research.
8/28 Alden-89 and Unknown-445743 appear to represent the same person because: Lydia Alden as spouse of John Spooner is a non-person. The profile should be merged away in Spooner's unknown wife. Use the data on Unknown.
This profile neither fits a known Alden descendant or the spouse of John Spooner. I think the easiest thing to do would be simply merge her into the Unknown Unknown wfie of John Spooner.
If she is not a child of Priscilla Mullins Alden, then Mullins is probably not a part of her name. I can find no record of Lydia Spooner being Lydia Alden except for in Ancestry.com's compilations, which are questionable. Also, it would have been unusual for a Puritan girl to marry so young. I think this entire profile needs to be taken with a large grain of salt.
Also, seeing as her husband remarried in 1679, I'm doubtful she lived until 1719. Only one child recorded. She probably died when John Spooner Jr. was very young.
