Birth

Joseph, b. 29 Sep 1718 in Mendon, Mass., was the son of John and Penelope Aldrich.[1]

Marriage

Joseph Aldrich and Elizabeth Printis married in Uxbridge, Massachusetts, on 05 Dec 1740[2]

I Joseph Aldrich of Uxbridge in the county of Worcester and provice of the Commonwealth, yeoman, being under some weakness of body but of perfect mind and memory and being sensible that life is very uncertain, and as I have at mind to pass of what state I have in possession, I do take this opportunity to dispose of it in the following manner.

After my just debts and funeral charges are justly paid by my hereafter named Executor, I give to my beloved wife her lawful right of Dower in the whole of my Estate.

Item: I give to my four sons, namely, Abel, Joshua, Nathaniel and William the whole of my wearing apparel to be equally idvided between them.

Item: I give to my daughter Rachel forty five pounds silver money, or other estate equivalent to make her equal with my other daughters.

Item; I give to my son Joshua and four daughters, namely, Ruth, Mary, Eunice and Rachel the farming part of my estate to be equally divided between them.

Lastly I do appoint my son Joshua Aldrich to be my Execurtor to this my Last Will and Testament and do hereby disannul and revoke all former wills, legacies, and executors by me heretofore made, willed bequeathed or named, ratifying this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament

In witness whereof hereunto I set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of the sixth month in the year of Our Lord 1786.
