Hello Verne,

While visiting your profile, I noticed you have been a member of Wikitree for over a month, received messages from Greeters and Mentors.

I also noticed the small amount of contributions to your family tree.

Did you experiment navigation problems or ancestors search difficulties ? Do you need help ?

Would be glad to help in any way .

Wish you a great journey on Wikitree.

Hi!

Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month! We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:

Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.

We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.

As always, I'm here to help if you have any questions!

Guy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi ,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Guy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hi!

How are you? I'm Guy, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.

If you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info. Do you have Royal Ancestors? Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Guy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello Verne, You clicked on the volunteer button indicating that you would like to collaborate and add information - sometimes people click the volunteer link when really all they want to do is explore our site for information. That's perfectly okay with us. Everything is free here and you don't need to volunteer to do that.

If you're interested in helping us grow our worldwide tree by adding your branches, please post a comment on your profile page, to let us know, and we will be happy to confirm you. :D

Hi v,

Welcome! As a guest you are encouraged to explore. Please take time to read our Honor Code, it's what makes us a special community. The G2G forum will answer a lot of your questions, as well as the Find and Help Menus (upper right). Our goal is to have one profile per person that is properly sourced. WikiTree is a collaborative site for people of all experience levels. Please take your time and check us out. If you would like to join us, please check the Volunteer Box, and leave us a message, here on your Profile page, to that effect. We would love to have you!

Have Fun!
