Biography
He is noticed, by the family historian, [1] as the second Laird of Echt, a holding acquired from the Stewart family on the marriage of his grandfather.
He is said to have married a sister to Gilbert Skeen of that ilk. [2] They had:
- John Forbes, his heir.
- unnamed Forbes, married to Robert Stewart, son to Robert Stewart of Laithers.
- unnamed Forbes, married to Alexander Morison, and after his death, to Donald Shand.
- the third daughter, named in the family history of the Burnet of Leys as Elizabeth. She was married twice. Firstly to Alexander Riock and secondly to Alexander Burnet, of Leys.[3][4]
