Sarah Alexander of Cumberland, Rhode Island married Japhet Taft, as his second wife, on May 11, 1763. [1][2][3] Japhet was born at Mendon, Massachusetts on March 3, 1721/2, son of Daniel Taft and Lydia Chapin. [1][4]
It is unknown, when either Sarah or her husband Japhet died. They may have had more children than those noted here, including a son Japhet Jr.

Marcy born on January 16, 1765[1]; died January 26, 1812; married Lieut. Joseph Torrey on October 6, 1793 at Uxbridge, Massachusetts [5] as his second wife. [6]
