Biography
William Alger was born at 1, Little Cherry Garden St, Bermondsey on 29 July 1863, his parents were John Alger and Elisabeth Carman. although they were never married. [1] [2]
William married Jessie Carpenter (nee Jones) in St Crispin, Bermondsey on 26 June 1904. William was aged 42, an iron mechanic, and the son of John Alger, deceased. Jessie was the daughter of Job Jones, a carman. [3]
He died in St Olave district, Southwark in 1928, aged 65 [4]
