Margaret Algeo was born about 1830 [1] in Mallaughfins, County Donegal, Ireland & baptised 31st January 1830 [1] at the Church of Ireland, Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland, the daughter of John Algeo & Mary Snodgrass.
Margaret Algie met William Watson around 1853 in Renfrewshire, Scotland. Their relationship produced 3 children, William, Margaret & Robert.
Margaret Algie, age 32, spinster, Mill Worker, of 6 Albion Street, Paisley, (daughter of John Algie, Surface Man & Mary Algie née Snodgrass) & William Gardner, age 41, Bachelor, Ploughman, of 12 Middle Lane, Paisley, (son of Alexander Gardner, Farmer, deceased & Jane Gardner née Jackson, deceased) were married 17th November 1865 at 6 Albion Street, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland after Banns according to the Forms of the Church of Scotland by Alexander Beysen (?), Minister. William signed & Margaret made her mark. Witnesses were John Algie & James Algie.[2][3]
Margaret Gardner, widow of 1st: William Watson, Cotton Spinner & 2nd: William Gardner, Farm Servant, died aged 78 on 24th January 1913 at 4 Earl Street, Scotstoun, Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland, the daughter of John Algie, Shipyard Labourer (deceased) & Mary Algie née Snodgrass, (deceased). Her daughter Mary Williams was present when she died from Acute Bronchitis.[4]
