"David Douglas Morton was a bit of a lad, I suspect - quite strange as firstly he married in Scotland to Annie White Allardice, whom he must have divorced. Then he seems to been have married, albeit briefly, to Polly (Mary) Dearlove in South Africa. I have the birth of his son to Polly, David Hamilton Morton registered with both he and Polly as parents. Then [...] he's back with Annie White Allardice and has three sons with her… they are listed in his death notice. David Douglas Morton and Annie share a gravestone [...] both David Douglas' and David Hamilton's death notices [...] confirm parents and places of birth." ^[3]
