Biography

1908: Mable Alldredge was born on the 15th of January 1908^[1] in Alabama, USA to Jesse Haden Alldredge and Mildred Woods Chilton.

1923: When Mable was 15 years old her mother, Mildred Chilton Alldredge, passed away on the 15th of October 1923 in Dothan, Houston County, Alabama^[2]. She was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama.

1928: Mable married Joseph Allen Jones, the younger son of Edwin Burwell Jones and Josephine Allen, in Montgomery, Alabama. In the 1929 Montgomery City Directory (published with data collected during 1928) Mable is listed under her own name, living at home and working as a teacher.^[3] In the 1930 census, taken on 11th April 1930, Mable is 22, married (at 20) and has a 1 month old daughter Haden Jones.^[4] Mabel was born on the 15th January 1908 and to have been 20 when she married the ceremony must have taken place between the 15th January 1928 and the 15th January 1929.

1963: Mable passed away on the 23rd of September 1963 in Montgomery, Alabama^[5] and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama^[1].
