Biography

James Allen , son of Capt. Richard Allen and Nancy Ann Lindsey, was born 27 January 1771. [1] Birth date inscribed on tombstone. [2] His Father served during the Revolutionary War under Captain Benjamin Cleveland and fought for four plus years during James early childhood.

On 18 May 1790, James married Hannah Loving. [1]

James, age 67, died on 17 November 1838 in Franklin, Alabama [1] and was buried at Allen Cemetery, Isbell, Franklin County, Alabama. Death date inscribed on tombstone. [2]
