Ephraim was a Friend (Quaker)

Ephraim was born in 1651/52, to Georg Allen ^[1] and his wife Hannah.

Ephraim married Margaret Wardwell. Two dates are given for this in the Friends' Records of Shrewsbury, 29 1st month (March) 1681 and 28 6th month (Aug.) 1687 ^[2] Which is more or less typical for Friends' intentions and marriage, but details are not given in Stillwell's Miscellany. Two of the children of this couple were born prior to the second date.

Ephraim passed away in 1691/92. ^[4] He left a will.

Will

1691-2 Jan. 30. Will of Ephraim Allen: mentions wife, two sons, a daughter and wife's father, but not by name. Real and personal estate. Executors the wife and her father, George Allen and John Williams. Witnesses - John Hance, Faith Huet, George Allen, Lydia Wardell, Elizabeth Hance. Proved Feb. 1, 1691-2. 198

1694-5 Feb 13. Letters testimonial with preceding will annexed, issued to Margaret, widow of deceased and now wife of William West of Shrewsbury and said West. 199 ^[5]
