Elizabeth was baptised on 27 Apr 1862 at Desertlyn Church of Ireland, Co. Londonderry, Ireland. After their marriage at Moneymore, she and her husband William George moved to Dublin, where he was employed as a clerk. Their first five children were all born at Dubliin. In 1895/96 the family moved to Belfast, where their youngest child Amy was born. Not long after that William George deserted his family. In due course Elizabeth returned home to Moneymore where she and her six children took up residence with her widowed mother, Sarah Jane. Some years later Elizabeth and her family emigrated to New Zealand. [1]
