Jane Allen was born on 3/15/1755 in Augusta, Virginia to James Allen & Margaret Anderson.^[1]

Jane married Capt. James Trimble about 1780. She was his second wife. They had 8 children: Margaret, Mary, Allen, William, John.^[2]

In 1783 the family moved to Woodford, Kentucky.^[3]

Her date of death is unclear. "Sons of the American Revolution Membership Applications" says about 1836. Other sources indicate 1839 or 1849.
