Biography

Charles had children Frances, Mary, Elizabeth, Catherine, Charles, and Margaret, baptised in Westminster, London, between 1683 and 1694. The first two were baptised at St Martin in the Fields^[1] and the others at St James Piccadilly.^[2] All name the parents as Charles and Mary. There may also be at least two further children, another Charles and another Mary, but burials not found for the first two.

Probable marriage to Mary Rogers 12 November 1682 at St Marylebone, 11 months before birth of Frances.^[3]

His daughter Catherine baptised 9 March 1689/1690 at St James Piccadilly, London is "Catherine Allen of Charles and Mary born Feb 25".^[4]

Research Notes

Possible burials 11 March 1713 and 7 April 1720 at St James Piccadilly^[5] but there was another Charles Allen who used this church. There is also another burial 9 February 1721 at St Martin in the Fields. Could not find a burial at Malham or any connection with Yorkshire.
